Turkish Army Claims It Killed 226 Terrorists in 43 Operations

On 10 January 2021, Turkish Ministry of Defence released a video saying that the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) had carried out a total of 43 operations during December 2020, including 8 large and 35 medium-scale operations at home and abroad. The Turkish Ministry of Defence added that as a result, TAF killed 226 “terrorists”.

TAF is involved in multiple conflict zones, including Libya, Syria and Armenia. In these conflict zones, Turkey backs the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli, opposition forces in Syria including the Syrian National Army (SNA) and the Azerbaijani Government.
